About Natacha

Hi! It's so nice to meet you, glad you're here!

My name is Natacha, I am the founder/CEO of The Educators and a New Jersey Board Certified k-12 English Teacher. My native language is Portuguese but I also speak English and Spanish. I received an A.A. from Essex County College, a B.A. from Rutgers University-Newark, and achieved my certification through the Urban Teacher Education Program in Rutgers University-Newark. I have 5+ years of tutoring/teaching experience. I started tutoring in high school and kept tutoring throughout my academic journey, completed my clinicals, became a substitute teacher and taught in NPS as an English teacher. I started my teaching career right before the pandemic and ended up teaching through the pandemic. I have experience with a variety of grade levels from tutoring elementary students all the way to graduate students at Rutgers University. My biggest passion has always been education, but as I completed my BA I realized that urban education has a special place in my heart. I am also an analysis geek so on my spare time I indulge in books and movies/TV shows.

About Iramis

Hello! My name is Iramis and I am a New Jersey Board Certified K-12 Mathematics Teacher. I am Ecuadorian and can speak three languages; I am fluent in English and Spanish and conversational in Portuguese. I currently hold a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics (B.S.), a Masters of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T), and my certification which I received through the Urban Teaching Residency Program at Montclair State University. I started my teaching journey in 2021 in my hometown, Newark, through my clinical residence at an elementary school and continued it as a per diem at a local high school. In September of 2022 I will be teaching mathematics at the high school level for the NBOE! Throughout multiple years, I have tutored all kinds of grades including tutoring for test prep like the SAT/ACT exams. I am passionate about my work as I love math and want to instill the importance of it in every student I get the privilege of teaching. I like to focus on teaching the “why” in math, not on just the “how” aspect of math as it promotes long-term understanding and independence when it comes to problem-solving skills. In my philosophy, I find it essential that students love what they are learning as education should be fun and enticing for everyone, it is how we learn best! When I am not teaching I am spending time with my little Vienna who is my pride and joy that you see in the picture! I hope to be able to explore the fun that mathematics has to offer with you soon!
